Roads

Throughout the centuries there were men who took first steps, down new roads, armed with nothing but their own vision.

If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help... Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen.

Building new roads and bridges creates jobs. Growing our exports creates jobs. Reforming our outdated tax system and our broken immigration system creates jobs.

We should make a major financial commitment to improving our roads and bridges.

A lot of people a lot have urged me to seek political office. All kinds of different jobs. Everybody has got a different idea for me, except all roads lead through my wife.

I have been to the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and I have witnessed the racially segregated roads and housing that reminded me so much of the conditions we experienced in South Africa under the racist system of Apartheid.

We will build new roads, and highways, and bridges, and airports, and tunnels, and railways all across our wonderful nation.

When I see the crumbling roads and bridges, or the dilapidated airports, or the factories moving overseas to Mexico, or to other countries, I know these problems can all be fixed, but not by Hillary Clinton only by me.

President Obama has almost doubled our national debt to more than $19 trillion, and growing. And yet, what do we have to show for it? Our roads and bridges are falling apart, our airports are in Third World condition, and forty three million Americans are on food stamps.

New roads; new ruts.

People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they're not on your road doesn't mean they've gotten lost.

We didn't build the interstate system to connect New York to Los Angeles because the West Coast was a priority. No, we webbed the highways so people can go to multiple places and invent ways of doing things not thought of by the persons building the roads.

If there are dreams about a beautiful South Africa, there are also roads that lead to their goal. Two of these roads could be named Goodness and Forgiveness.

We have soon to have everywhere smoke annihilators, dust absorbers, ozonizers, sterilizers of water, air, food and clothing, and accident preventers on streets, elevated roads and in subways. It will become next to impossible to contract disease germs or get hurt in the city, and country folk will got to town to rest and get well.

The whole infrastructure of air travel was, and is, part of government policy. It is not a natural development of a free economic system at least not in the way that is claimed. The same is true of the roads, of course.
